The Bangeran Thunderbolt is the recline first chair in the Bangeran range. A manual handle drops the backrest through a full 180 degrees, which lets a rider shift weight off the lower back and hips, take pressure off the skin and rest properly without transferring out of the chair. Riders who spend most of the day seated feel that difference by the afternoon.
Underneath, the Thunderbolt is built for rough going. Dual shock absorbers sit between the frame and the wheels, the rear runs 12.5 inch pneumatic tires and the front carries 8 inch solid wheels. Grass, gravel paths, cobblestones and driveway lips stop being obstacles. Intelligent electromagnetic brakes hold the chair the moment the joystick returns to center, including on a slope.
For the car it folds to 20 by 25 by 30.5 inches on an aircraft grade aluminum frame, and the 58.3 lb chair has a lift handle under the seat. The 12Ah lithium battery lifts out on its own, which drops the lifting weight and makes flight and cruise paperwork easier to handle.
A 24V 250W dual motor drive gives a 4 mph top speed, up to 12 miles of range and a 300 lb weight capacity. The 360 degree waterproof analog joystick mounts on either armrest for left or right hand riders, and a headrest and remote control come in the box.

The Thunderbolt comes in Black with Orange, Silver with Red and Gold with Green. The standard battery is a 12Ah lithium pack, and Bangeran offers a 20Ah upgrade that roughly doubles the day range for riders who cover long distances. Every chair ships with the analog joystick, the remote controller, the headrest, the charger and the user manual. A storage pouch hangs under the seat frame.
Bangeran also stocks replacement joysticks, batteries, chargers, tyres and cushions for this frame, so the chair stays serviceable years after purchase. Standard third party wheelchair accessories that clamp to round aluminum tubing, such as cup holders, cane holders and rear baskets, fit the Thunderbolt as well.

Bangeran backs this model with a manufacturer limited warranty. Parts are covered for 1 year and the battery and joystick for 6 months, with a 30 day return window from delivery. Normal wear items and damage from misuse or accidents are excluded, as with all manufacturer warranties.

Key safety notes for this model. Keep total rider and cargo weight under the 300 lb rating. Do not use the recline while the chair is moving or parked on a slope. Rated climbing ability is about 9 degrees, so avoid steeper ramps. Check the pressure printed on the 12.5 inch rear tyre sidewalls before off pavement use. Charge only with the supplied charger and never fold the chair while someone is seated.
Daily driving runs through the 360 degree waterproof analog joystick, which mounts on either armrest for left or right hand riders. Speed is adjustable, so a new rider can start slow indoors and open it up outside.
Charging takes 8 to 12 hours from empty with the supplied charger and the 12Ah lithium pack delivers up to 12 miles. Charge overnight and the chair is ready every morning.
For transport the frame folds to 20 by 25 by 30.5 inches and a handle under the seat helps with the 58.3 lb lift. Lift the battery out first and the rest gets noticeably lighter. The lithium pack is sized for airline travel, so the chair can fly and cruise, though every carrier applies its own battery paperwork so call ahead. Store the chair indoors, dry and partly charged if it will sit unused for weeks.
Both chairs share the same frame, motors, battery and dimensions. The Thunderbolt reclines with a manual handle and uses an analog joystick. The Auto Recline drops the backrest at the push of a button, adds a digital joystick with a USB charging port, a headlight and turn signals, and runs solid rear tyres instead of pneumatic ones.
Yes. The manual handle takes the backrest through a full 180 degrees to a flat or nearly flat position. That redistributes body weight, takes pressure off the lower back and hips and improves circulation on long days. Always recline on level ground with the chair stopped.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
