EZ Carrier Scooter and Wheelchair Lifts
Heavy Duty Mobility is an authorized dealer for EZ Carrier scooter and wheelchair lifts. Every lift and carrier is designed and built in Westland, Michigan, and every new unit ships free in the lower 48 states with the full EZ Carrier factory warranty.
This collection carries the manual fold-up carrier and the electric EZCL and EZCLA lifts. The manual carrier costs less, and you load the platform and fold it up yourself at every stop. The EZCL raises the platform electrically, and the fully automatic EZCLA folds itself up as well. EZ Carrier rates every model for Class 2 and Class 3 hitch receivers, and the hitch class sets the weight rating, so check your vehicle before you order. Some retailers spell the brand E-Z Carrier. Both names refer to the same Michigan manufacturer. Call us for expert fitting help by phone before you buy.

EZ Carrier Buying Guide
EZ Carrier designs and builds its hitch-mounted lifts and carriers in Westland, Michigan. The range runs from a simple manual fold-up carrier to a fully automatic electric lift. Start with how the platform gets raised. Then confirm what your hitch can carry.
Manual or electric lift
The EZ-Carrier Manual Vehicle Carrier for Mobility Scooters is the value pick. You guide the scooter onto the platform, strap it down, and fold the empty platform up by hand. It has no powered parts to maintain. The tradeoff is real physical effort at every stop.
The EZ-Carrier EZCL/EZCLA Electric Vehicle Lift for Mobility Scooters takes that effort off you. The EZCL raises and lowers the platform electrically, and you fold it up by hand once the scooter is off. The EZCLA goes further and folds the platform automatically. You pay more for the electric models, and the EZCLA costs the most of the line.
Check your hitch class first
EZ Carrier publishes a weight rating for Class 2 and Class 3 hitch receivers on every model, and the rating changes with the hitch class. On a Class 2 hitch the electric models carry up to 250 lbs and the manual carrier up to 350 lbs. On a Class 3 hitch the manual carrier handles up to 500 lbs, and the standard electric models handle 350 lbs with a 500 lb heavy duty motor option. Weigh your scooter or power chair with its batteries installed before you choose a model.
Which EZ Carrier we recommend
For most buyers we recommend the EZ-Carrier EZCL/EZCLA Electric Vehicle Lift for Mobility Scooters. Loading a mobility scooter several times a day is hard work, and the electric lift does that work for you. Choose the manual carrier if your budget is tight or a travel companion handles the loading. As an authorized EZ Carrier dealer we price match, and every new lift carries the full factory warranty. Call us before you order and we will confirm your hitch class and vehicle fit by phone. You can compare carriers from our other manufacturers on the Top Brands page.
